February is National Children’s Dental Health Month

It's February, and we are celebrating National Children's Dental Health Month.

If you thought February was only for celebrating Valentine's Day, think again. This month we also celebrate helping children maintain healthy teeth and gums.

This month, parents should place emphasis on good dental care for their children. You can start durning pregnancy, and continue throughout the life of your child.

Our recommendations for good dental health for children:

  1. Make appointments for checkups twice yearly,
  2. Maintain a healthy daily diet
  3. Daily oral hygiene habits, such as brushing and flossing two times a day

 

We like to say, good dental health is one healthy habit that should begin at home. Start practicing this month, and every month thereafter!
